Plant Labels - Without Resorting to Plastic

Label your Plants without Resorting to Plastic

Have you thought about every time you use plastic in the garden? It's probably become a habit to reach for plastic labels when you label your plants but did you realise how many other alternatives there are to the ubiquitous white plant label? In this article we explore some of the alternatives to plastic. An added bonus is that they are much more visually appealing.

So what are the alternatives? The most popular are wooden labels, these range in size from that of a lolly stick upwards. Then there are various metal labels including aluminium, copper and zinc. And finally you can buy labels made from slate.

However you may already have loads of plant labels that you have used previously. Don't throw these away as they can be reused for many years to come.  You can just sand off the writing with a scourer and start again.
